John C. Goff is a private investor based in Fort Worth, Texas. He co-founded Crescent Real Estate with Richard Rainwater in the early 1990s and has led the company through significant growth and acquisitions. Under his leadership, Crescent grew from approximately $500 million at its IPO to $6.5 billion upon its sale to Morgan Stanley in August 2007. He reacquired Crescent in a partnership with Barclays Capital in November 2009 and became the principal owner of Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, and Canyon Ranch in December 2017. Goff also founded Goff Capital Partners during the credit crisis of 1998, which invested in more than $4 billion in assets, real estate debt, and equity. He currently serves as Chairman of Crescent Real Estate and Contango Oil & Gas Company, focusing on investments in aerospace, energy, entertainment, real estate, and wellness.
