The Baccarat Residences Miami, a luxury condominium tower designed by Arquitectónica, is being developed by Related Group and GTIS Partners. The Miami Building Department has issued a master building permit, allowing for the continued construction of this skyscraper, which is located at 99 Southeast 5th Street. This 848-foot-tall tower is expected to be completed by early 2028, with John Moriarty & Associates serving as the general contractor.

Construction Progress and Milestones

The master building permit, granted on July 15, replaces a phased vertical permit, marking a significant advancement for the project. Baccarat Residences Miami is poised to become one of the tallest towers in Miami, featuring 75 stories and reaching 848 feet above ground. Construction began in October 2023, with cranes recently installed that will extend to 887 feet above ground.

Design and Features

Reflecting the elegance of the French crystal company Baccarat, the tower's design combines classic and modern architectural elements. The interior design is handled by Meyer Davis, while Enzo Enea is responsible for the landscape architecture. SH Hotels & Resorts will manage the building, which will include 355 residences, among them eight exclusive penthouses, and over 75,000 square feet of luxury amenities such as a state-of-the-art fitness center, the La Mer spa, and a private marina.

Growth and Impact on Brickell

The development underscores the continuous growth and desirability of the Brickell area, which remains a dynamic hub in Miami despite broader economic changes. Baccarat Residences Miami contributes to the area's expanding ultra-luxury residential market, attracting both local and international buyers.

Additional Developments and Permits

Alongside Baccarat Residences Miami, a separate project is underway at 77 Southeast 5th Street for Viceroy Brickell, a 45-story building with 420 condominiums. In recent permit developments for the Baccarat tower, an electrical permit valued at $21,120,000 was issued on July 18, with JC & A Electrical Contractors Inc. as the contractor. A pending mechanical air permit lists HYVAC INC. as the contractor for $13,000,000 worth of work.
