Riverside University Health System (RUHS) and PMB have initiated a groundbreaking project known as The Wellness Village in Mead Valley. This innovative development aims to revolutionize healthcare by integrating behavioral health treatment with medical care and social services.

Project Team and Timeline
PMB, Boulder Associates, Snyder Langston, and PMB Real Estate Services are collaborating on this significant venture. The project is scheduled for completion in 2026. Ben Rosenfeld, PMB's Senior Vice President of Development, emphasized that The Wellness Village will serve as a model for integrated healthcare delivery throughout California, combining medical care, behavioral health, and social services within a single environment.
Construction and Economic Impact
Construction has begun on the 18-acre campus located at the intersection of Harvill Avenue and Placentia Avenue. The project is expected to generate hundreds of permanent jobs and millions of dollars in taxes and spending, significantly benefiting the local economy.
Innovative Healthcare Services
The Wellness Village will address a critical gap in healthcare services by featuring Riverside County's first mental health urgent care and crisis residential program for children under 13. The Village will offer a comprehensive range of services, including urgent behavioral health treatment, supportive housing, residential and outpatient care, primary and specialty medical care, dental services, substance use disorder treatment, and a public pharmacy.
Key Programs and Facilities

The Youth and Family Care Center will provide outpatient care, a Children's Crisis Residential Program, a Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program, and accommodations for families while their children are in treatment. The Wellness and Education Center will offer intensive outpatient substance use prevention and treatment programs, perinatal specialized programs, a children's eating disorder intensive outpatient program, primary care, dentistry, imaging, and a pharmacy. The Recovery Center will include adult and youth behavioral health urgent care, a sobering center, crisis residential treatment, and residential substance use disorder treatment and detox programs. The Residences will provide supportive housing, recovery residences, and residential behavioral health programs. The Restorative Care facility will feature an Adult Residential Facility and a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center.

Community Amenities
To promote holistic recovery and community interaction, The Wellness Village will include green spaces and gardens for relaxation and meditation, sports courts and an activity lawn for physical activity and recreation, a public market and café for community gatherings, community meeting spaces for local events and activities, and boarding facilities for pets while their owners receive treatment.
The Wellness Village is poised to be a transformative development in healthcare, addressing diverse needs and fostering a supportive community environment.
