The city of Los Angeles is set to enhance its affordable housing offerings with two new projects located at 1438 Miramar Street and 1435 West 3rd Street in the Westlake area.

Development and Design
West Hollywood Community Housing Corp is spearheading the development of both projects, with architectural designs provided by 64 North. These projects aim to provide much-needed housing solutions for low-income and formerly unhoused residents.
Miramar Gold
Located at 1438 Miramar Street, Miramar Gold will be a seven-story building featuring 94 rental apartments. The design includes two wings connected by pedestrian bridges, with a contemporary facade highlighted by varying geometric shapes.
Third Thyme
The second project, Third Thyme, is rising at 1435 West 3rd Street. This eight-story building will consist of 104 one-bedroom apartments, specifically catering to senior residents. It includes 47 units for formerly homeless residents and two units for on-site managers. The remaining units are designated for renters earning between 50 and 60 percent of the area’s median income.
Previous Plans and Timeline
These projects occupy a parcel previously intended for a market-rate apartment complex. While the specific timeline for construction completion has not been disclosed, these developments mark a significant step forward in addressing the affordable housing crisis in Los Angeles.
