Karmitz is a valuable member of the Investment Sales team where he specializes in the sale and disposition of Manhattan and Brooklyn investment-grade multi-family, mixed-use and development properties. He is responsible for the sale of properties of over $30 million. Karmitz played a vital role in the sales of 219 East 94th Street, 239 East 77th Street and the structured long-term net lease with the option to purchase of 1220-24 Lexington Avenue. Prior to joining Avison Young, Karmitz worked at Halstead Property as an Associate in their investment sales division, where he was closely involved in building sales, land assemblages and distressed note sales. Successful completion of commercial deals established Karmitz’s New York City real estate knowledge and formed a solid background capable of informing current valuations and market analysis for clients. Karmitz earned a Bachelor of Science and certificate in Business from Indiana University. He is an active member of the Pat Covelli Foundation and is currently taking real estate finance courses at New York University.
