A brand-new mixed-use marvel is on the horizon in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, as permits have been officially filed for a nine-story development at 597 Grand Street. This exciting project, nestled between Lorimer Street and Leonard Street, is conveniently close to the Lorimer Street subway station, making it easily accessible for residents. The owner behind this endeavor is Yitzchok Katz of Developing NY State. Also, NY Building Associates is taking the reins as the architect of record, promising a thoughtful and innovative design that will harmonize with the neighborhood's character.

Abundant Space

This nine-story structure will reach a height of 95 feet, with a total of 126,478 square feet of space. Out of this, a substantial 125,661 square feet will be dedicated to residential use, providing comfortable living spaces for future inhabitants. Additionally, there will be 817 square feet of commercial space, opening doors to possible businesses that could enhance the local community.

Residential Splendor

The building is set to host a total of 185 residences, hinting at an array of rental options, considering the average unit size of approximately 679 square feet. These living spaces are designed to cater to the modern urban dweller, promising comfortable and convenient city living.

Modern Amenities

Beyond the living spaces, this development will encompass a cellar, a 35-foot-long rear yard, 93 bicycle parking spaces, and 88 enclosed parking spaces, reflecting the need for urban convenience and green transportation solutions.

A New Beginning

The project marks an exciting addition to the neighborhood, and while demolition permits for the existing parking lot have not been filed as of now, it's just a matter of time before construction commences. An estimated completion date has yet to be announced, but Williamsburg locals can look forward to the prospect of new, modern, and dynamic spaces in their community.

As development progresses, 597 Grand Street is sure to become a vibrant part of the Williamsburg skyline, offering a mix of residential and commercial spaces that will enhance the local lifestyle for all.
