In the fall of 2023, Palm Beach Atlantic University experienced a significant milestone by welcoming its largest incoming class to date, consisting of 3,800 students. This influx marks the highest enrollment in the Christian university's 55-year history.

Plans for Expansion
To accommodate the growing student population, the university has unveiled plans for a new 25-story dormitory. This ambitious project will replace an existing 3,852-square-foot building on a 1.71-acre site. The proposed dormitory will encompass 358,400 square feet of new construction.
Dormitory Features and Layout
The new dormitory is designed to offer 275 rooms, including 44 two-bedroom, 22 three-bedroom, and 209 four-bedroom layouts. Additionally, the building will feature 15,500 square feet of dining space across the bottom two floors and a 14,600-square-foot fitness center on the third floor.
Parking and Office Space
A significant component of the development is the 11-story parking garage, which will provide 906 parking spots for students. The garage will also include 4,300 square feet of ground-floor office space, adding a multifunctional aspect to the structure.
Project Collaborators
The project involves Cube3 as the architect and Urban Design Studio as the planning firm. Upon completion, the new dormitory will enable Palm Beach Atlantic University to increase its future incoming classes by 1,200 students.
Approval and Location
West Palm Beach city officials are scheduled to review the development proposal on August 8th. The dormitory is planned for the site at 1200 S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, FL, 33401, in Palm Beach County.
