Vornado Joins Forces with NYC, Blackstone & Hudson Pacific to Develop $350M Studio Campus at Pier 94

Vornado Realty Trust, Hudson Pacific Properties and Blackstone, in collaboration with the City of New York and New York City Economic Development Corporation, have launched the inaugural public-private partnership in Manhattan to establish Sunset Pier 94 Studios in Midtown. 

The objective: The purpose-built studio campus located at Pier 94 aims to strengthen New York City's competitive advantage in content production, offering advanced film and production technology. 

The project in numbers: With a total investment of approximately $350 million, the initiative is projected to generate over 1,300 jobs during the construction phase, 400 permanent jobs, and contribute a substantial $6.4 billion to the local economy over the course of three decades. 

What the project entails: The endeavor will include various amenities such as public restrooms, communal spaces, waterfront open areas, and more. 

The timeline: Construction is slated to begin in Q3 2023, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
