Villa Miami Condo Tower Gets Green Light for Site Work in Edgewater

The Miami Building Department has issued a crucial site work permit for the Villa Miami project in Edgewater. This permit, granted on August 2, marks significant progress in the development. The permit covers excavation, piles, site improvements, and soil enhancement, with Moss & Associates handling the 22,000-square-foot project at a cost of $66,000. Alongside this, a master construction permit is also in process, laying out plans for a 358,944-square-foot building that includes residential and restaurant spaces, with an estimated construction cost of $62.8 million. Additionally, a seawall permit, valued at $480,000, is under review, with Ebsary Foundation Company as the contractor.

Tower Design and Structure

The 56-story, 650-foot tower of Villa Miami is expected to break ground shortly, featuring 72 full and half-floor residences that offer panoramic 360-degree water views. The tower's design, led by ODP Architecture & Design under Kurt Dannwolf, is highlighted by a unique copper-colored exoskeleton. Structural engineering is provided by Desimone Consulting Engineers, ensuring the tower will be a distinctive addition to both the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay.

Luxury Amenities and Services

Residents of Villa Miami will enjoy a range of luxury amenities, including a Major Domo estate manager service, a rooftop helipad, poolside service, and spa and wellness facilities. The development will also feature a branded beach club, an elevated pool deck, and an on-site restaurant by Major Food Group, offering exclusive lounge spaces and at-home chef services.

Interior and Landscape Design

The interior design for Villa Miami will be overseen by Vicky Charles of Charles & Co., renowned for her work with high-profile clients like Sony Music, Goop, and the Clooneys. The landscape architecture, led by Enzo Enea, will focus on integrating native plants to enhance the building's connection with its environment.

Project Collaboration and Location

Located at 710 Northeast 29th Street, Villa Miami is a collaborative effort between Major Food Group, David Martin’s Terra, and One Thousand Group. The project has enlisted Douglas Elliman as the exclusive sales and marketing partner.
