Veteran Soha Fontaine Leads Team in a Major Shift from RE/MAX to Compass after Two Decades

Compass recently announced the addition of new agents in Florida and Colorado, along with the arrival of Soha Fontaine and her team, Team Soha, who have transitioned from RE/MAX to Compass.

Soha Fontaine's Legacy at RE/MAX

Based in Hoboken, New Jersey, Team Soha was previously associated with RE/MAX Select. Soha Fontaine has been a prominent figure in the RE/MAX network for over two decades. Her accolades include induction into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 2008, receiving the Lifetime Achievement award in 2011, and becoming part of the Circle of Legends in 2018. She was also a member of RE/MAX's Diamond Club from 2017 to 2022.

A Strategic Move to Compass

Gordon Golub, the tri-state regional vice president for Compass, highlighted the importance of Fontaine’s move, stating it marks a significant milestone for the New Jersey market. He expressed enthusiasm about supporting Fontaine and her team in achieving their business goals with the aid of Compass's cutting-edge technology and tools.

Fontaine emphasized that Compass’s advanced technology played a pivotal role in her decision to switch brands. She praised its ability to streamline tasks and reduce trial-and-error, which she believes will facilitate her team's expansion into Northern New Jersey and beyond. Fontaine is also eager to explore Compass’s sports and entertainment division, given her clientele, which includes notable figures like New York Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke and rapper Joe Budden.

Team Soha's New Chapter

Team Soha comprises six agents: Anne Ricchio, Manuel Castillo, Natasha Ryan, Kiana Gomez, Kanishka Jain, and Samantha Smith. They will operate from Compass’s Hoboken office, focusing on areas from downtown Jersey City to southern Bergen County. The team specializes in new construction, luxury homes, and waterfront properties.

Impressive Performance in Real Estate

In 2023, Team Soha, which then consisted of 12 licensed agents, completed 45 transaction sides, amounting to $31.89 million in total volume. This achievement secured them the 48th spot in New Jersey for volume among large teams and the 993rd position nationally, according to the RealTrends Verified rankings.
