In the heart of the Treadwell Farm Historic District on Manhattan's Upper East Side, the finishing touches are being put on The Treadwell, an elegant 28-story residential tower. Designed by INC Architecture & Design and developed by Dart Interests, this 347-foot-tall Art Deco-inspired building is set to offer 66 condominium units with price tags ranging from $1 million to $4.5 million. Brown Harris Stevens Development is overseeing sales and marketing for these luxurious homes, while SLCE Architects is serving as the executive architect, and CM & Associates is the general contractor. Zeckendorf Development is co-managing the project, which is situated at the corner of Second Avenue and East 62nd Street.
The Tower's Striking Exterior
Significant progress has been made since our last update in March, where scaffolding still covered large sections of the concrete superstructure. Recent photographs reveal that the exterior is nearly complete, with only a few finishing touches remaining. These include the paneling around the crown's rear, glass railings on the upper balconies, and the ground-floor frontages still concealed by sidewalk sheds. An aerial view of the crown showcases its intricate Art Deco-inspired design, featuring a tiered arrangement of rounded fins that enclose the mechanical bulkhead. Private terraces are carved out of the four corners, providing residents with a unique outdoor space.
Lavish Interiors and Amenities
Renderings of The Treadwell by DBOX offer a glimpse into the tower's main structure, the East 62nd Street annex, the lobby, and the residential interiors. The Treadwell is designed to accommodate two to four homes per floor, promising spacious and comfortable living spaces. The first two levels will house a range of amenities, including a double-height lobby, a fitness center, a sauna and steam room, an on-site superintendent, a children's playroom, a private landscaped courtyard, a lounge, meeting rooms, and a meditation garden. Residents will also enjoy complimentary one-year memberships to the esteemed concierge medicine group Sollis Health and exclusive experiences offered by Omacasa.
Convenient Location
The Treadwell boasts a strategic location, with the F and Q subway lines at the Lexington Avenue-63rd Street station to the west, and the N, R, W, 4, 5, and 6 lines at the Lexington Avenue-59th Street station nearby. This ensures easy access to transportation for residents.
An Exciting Future
With the finishing touches in progress, The Treadwell is on track to open its doors for occupancy in the coming year. This residential tower promises a sophisticated and comfortable living experience for those seeking the epitome of Upper East Side luxury.
