Agreement with College Trustees

The project's plans were greenlit as part of a new contract with the college's board of trustees, entailing additional rent payments to the educational institution.

Stadium Features

The SoFi Center will be comparable in size to the previous plan, standing at 75 feet tall and covering an area of 250,000 square feet, accommodating 1,500 spectators. Professional golfers will tee off into a 3,000 square foot screen before proceeding to a 22,000 square foot short-game complex.

League Overview

Managed by TMRW Sports and backed by the PGA Tour, TGL will consist of six teams, each comprising three players. High-profile matches will be aired on ESPN and ESPN+, featuring renowned golfers like Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, and Justin Thomas, alongside Woods and McIlroy.

SoFi's Sponsorship

SoFi, a financial company, has announced its sponsorship of the league, expressing enthusiasm about the partnership and citing the proven value of investing in sports.

Financial Aspects

The new SoFi Center is projected to cost around $50 million, with an expected lifespan of 50 years, a substantial increase compared to the original plan's $11 million budget and 15-year lifespan. TMRW Sports will pay escalating rent to the college under the new agreement, with the lease spanning 20 years.

Community Engagement and Support

TMRW Sports has shown commitment to community engagement by donating to Palm Beach State College and involving high-profile investors and sponsors, including sports figures like Serena Williams and business leaders like Steve Cohen.

Promotional Strategy

To bolster interest in the league, TMRW Sports has secured promotional deals with various celebrities, including musicians like Justin Bieber and NBA stars such as Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Durant.
