Construction is underway on a significant addition to Midtown Manhattan's skyline: 665 Fifth Avenue, a 469-foot-tall commercial tower. Designed by David Chipperfield Architects and developed by Rolex Realty Company, this 28-story building will serve as the US headquarters for Rolex.

Located prominently at Fifth Avenue and East 53rd Street, the building is set to offer 199,000 square feet of office and retail space. Adamson Associates is the architect of record, ensuring the project's architectural integrity.
Early construction phases involved foundational work below street level, initially concealed by surrounding fencing. Recent progress reveals the completion of cellar levels and substructures, with scaffolding and shoring now in place around the core walls.

Inside, the building boasts innovative design features. Floor slabs strategically jut from the core, creating expansive atrium spaces and maximizing ceiling heights within the podium levels. The tower's upper floors feature staggered setbacks and a repetitive floor plate design to facilitate efficient vertical construction.

Office spaces will occupy floors five through 25, complemented by a double-height dining and event space on the uppermost levels, complete with an adjoining terrace. The building culminates in a 50-foot-tall mechanical bulkhead and a flat roof parapet.
665 Fifth Avenue is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification, emphasizing sustainability. Its location ensures accessibility via nearby subway stations, including 47-50th Streets-Rockefeller Center and 5th Avenue-53rd Street.
Anticipated to be completed by December 2025, 665 Fifth Avenue represents a harmonious blend of functionality, sustainability, and architectural innovation in the heart of Manhattan.
