Excitement is brewing as construction kicks off for Nestlé USA, Inc.'s state-of-the-art distribution center, marking a significant milestone for the renowned food and beverage giant. Spanning over 700,000 square feet, the multi-story facility is slated to rise on an expansive 58-acre plot situated on the eastern side of Tejon Ranch Commerce Center (TRCC).

Set to revolutionize Nestlé USA's operations, this fully automated facility will be tailored to accommodate their ambient portfolio while also allowing for future growth and development. Although no specific dates have been announced, Nestlé aims to wrap up construction by 2025 and commence operations by 2026, paving the way for an exciting era of expansion.

Elevating their supply chain to new heights, Nestlé North America's Chief Supply Chain Officer, Pete Spanos, expressed their conviction in choosing Tejon Ranch as the ideal epicenter for their next-generation distribution center. Nestled in a central hub, this strategic location ensures a streamlined and efficient route to the vibrant West Coast market, fortifying the company's long-term prospects and generating unparalleled value.

A Dynamic Hub for Commercial Growth

In a strategic move that solidifies its presence in the highly competitive U.S. market, Nestlé has chosen the Tejon Ranch Commerce Center (TRCC) as its operational base. Joining the ranks of renowned companies such as IKEA, Dollar General, Famous Footwear, Caterpillar, Camping World, and L’Oréal, Nestlé's decision further reinforces TRCC's reputation as a world-class hub for commercial and industrial enterprises. Derek C. Abbott, Executive Vice President of Real Estate at Tejon Ranch Co., lauds this endorsement as a testament to the center's exceptional standing.

The remarkable success of TRCC is evident as over 8 million square feet of commercial and industrial space have already been occupied, accounting for 40% of the total entitled space of 20 million square feet. Notably, the past two years alone have witnessed significant transactions totaling more than 2.5 million square feet of industrial space, either in the construction phase or already completed, across four building sites within TRCC's premises.

A Gateway to Economic Growth

Nestle’s recent construction of a new facility at the Tejon Ranch Commerce Center reflects the center's ongoing success and its pivotal role in the economic growth of Kern County and the surrounding region. With nearly a million square feet of additional industrial development completed, the center has become a hub of activity. Its success can be attributed to various factors, including its prime location just north of the LA basin, a highly skilled workforce, favorable incentives from the local government, and a designation as a foreign trade zone, which provides financial benefits to companies operating within it. Moreover, the center boasts impressive on-site amenities. Despite the substantial development that has taken place, there are still ample opportunities for the creation of new buildings to meet the rising demand for warehouse, distribution, and advanced manufacturing facilities.

In its role as a catalyst for economic progress, the Tejon Ranch Commerce Center has already generated over five thousand jobs and attracted hundreds of millions of dollars in investments. Positioned as a gateway between southern and northern California, it has truly transformed the region's economic landscape.

The recent sale of a 58-acre land parcel at the center was facilitated by JLL's Mac Hewett, Mike McCrary, and Brent Weirick, further fueling its growth and development.
