The company has recently acquired land for two new BTR projects in Lake County, Orlando, marking a significant expansion of its BTR unit, Yardly. Details of the New BTR Projects
The first project is a unique 213-unit, one-bedroom cottage concept located off State Road 44 in Eustis, near Mount Dora. With the land fully entitled, Taylor Morrison is expected to kickstart the project soon. The second project, a separate 309-unit community, is also in Mount Dora. The company is currently working on permits and anticipates closing on the land in the first quarter of 2024.
Leasing Timelines
Prospective tenants can look forward to leasing in the Yardly community in Eustis before the end of 2024. The Mount Dora community is likely to begin leasing in 2025, providing more options for those seeking quality rental homes in the Orlando area.
Expansion of the Yardly Brand
These two projects are part of a broader expansion plan for the Yardly brand. Taylor Morrison is currently developing more than five build-to-rent communities in the greater Orlando and Tampa regions. The company also owns more than 25 Yardly projects and is expected to consider future project sites in Florida and other markets nationwide.
