Sunset Development and AvalonBay Communities have received approval to construct a 457-unit apartment complex at Bishop Ranch in San Ramon. This follows plans to transform the business park into a $5 billion retail village.

The complex, situated at 6200 Bollinger Road, will feature two buildings spanning five and seven stories, connected by a breezeway. The architectural palette of white, olive, and gray is a collaboration between Sunset Development and AvalonBay.
Included in the complex are amenities such as a pool and a parking garage accommodating 640 cars, reflecting a blend of residential comfort and urban convenience.
Construction is projected to commence as early as 2026, marking a significant milestone in Sunset and AvalonBay’s partnership in urban development.
Located near the recently opened City Center, the complex aligns with Sunset’s broader vision to integrate residential components within the evolving Bishop Ranch Business Park. This initiative aims to establish a cohesive retail village and potentially provide up to 10,000 homes in the area.
Under the CityWalk Master Plan approved in 2020, Sunset plans to redevelop additional areas within Bishop Ranch, including up to 4,500 apartments, a hotel, shops, restaurants, and ample parking across three distinct neighborhoods.
