Second Dave's Hot Chicken Restaurant Set to Spice Up New Jersey

Get ready, New Jersey! Dave's Hot Chicken, the renowned California-based spicy chicken chain, is all set to spice up the culinary scene with its second restaurant in the Garden State. Nestled at 2311 Route 66 in the Seaview Square Shopping Center, Ocean Township, the eatery is slated to open its doors to the public on December 2nd.

From Pop-up to Nationwide Sensation

Established just six years ago as a pop-up in West Hollywood, Dave's Hot Chicken has quickly gained a reputation for its fiery chicken tenders and sliders. With a spice spectrum that ranges from "No Spice" to "Reaper", the brand has something for everyone. But it's not just about the chicken - their sides, including mac & cheese, kale slaw, and cheese fries, are equally drool-worthy.

Thanks to the backing of celebrities like Drake, Samuel L. Jackson, and Maria Shriver, the brand has expanded rapidly. Today, it boasts over 140 locations across the U.S., Canada, Dubai, and Qatar.

New Jersey Expansion

The Ocean Township restaurant is the first of nine Dave's Hot Chicken outlets to be managed by Noraiz Khan and Kashif Khan. The Khan brothers, hailing from East Brunswick, are seasoned entrepreneurs who also run several Moe's Southwest Grill restaurants in New Jersey and New York.

The new location is taking over a space previously occupied by Baja Mexican Grill. It will share the shopping center with other tenants such as Crumbl Cookies, Starbucks, Five Guys, Jersey Mike’s Subs, and Dollar Tree.

Operating Hours and Future Plans

The Ocean Township Dave's Hot Chicken will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. But this is just the beginning of the brand's expansion in New Jersey.

After launching its inaugural restaurant in Wayne last year, the brand has ambitious plans for the Garden State. By the second quarter of 2024, Amit Patel, the franchisee for 14 North Jersey locations, plans to open his second restaurant at Kearny Commons in Kearny. Furthermore, an agreement with veteran restaurateurs Jason Soares and Luis Garcia will see the addition of seven more locations throughout South Jersey over the next five years.

With its unique blend of flavors and rapid expansion, Dave's Hot Chicken is certainly a brand to watch in the New Jersey real estate and food scene.
