A developer has announced the acquisition of a $76.81 million loan to fund a new sustainable, mixed-use development in Overtown and Wynwood.

SoWy, a new 8-acre mixed-use development is coming to Wynwood and Overtown,  blending residential

Funding by JP Morgan Chase

The loan was provided by JP Morgan Chase, supporting the ambitious project by More Development.

Introduction of SoWy

The development, named SoWy, aims to preserve the unique character of the neighborhood while introducing modern amenities. More Development, which has offices within the site, is spearheading this project.

Project Scope and Location

SoWy will cover 26 parcels, equating to eight acres, located along 2nd Avenue between NW 20th and 22nd Street. The project has nearly 2.5 million base buildable square feet available, excluding potential increases under the Live Local Act.

Residential and Community Plans

The development plan includes residential components, aiming to create a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly environment. According to More Development President Whitney Thier, the project is set to enhance the neighborhood with spaces for living, working, shopping, dining, and leisure, all within an art-forward setting.
