15 Beekman Street, an expansive 27-story addition to Pace University in the Financial District, has officially opened its doors, and it's ready for next semester.

The team behind the project: SL Green Realty is the developer for this site, while the architectural design is being handled by Manish Chadha of Ismael Leyva Architects. The general contracting for this project was handled by New Line Structures & Development.

The project at Beekman Street: The towering structure reaches 338 feet in height. This building encompasses 213,084 square feet, housing classrooms, administrative and faculty offices, common areas, suite-style dormitories, a dining facility, a library and learning center, and the three-floor Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems. The address is alternatively recognized as 126-132 Nassau Street, situated at the intersection of Beekman and Nassau Streets.

Ready to inhabit: The building will be fully accessible for the fall semester. Upon entering through the front doors, occupants will encounter the lobby, a security desk, and an adjacent café that serves Starbucks coffee for both faculty and students.

What the students will find: The suite-style dorm rooms are designed to accommodate a varying number of occupants, ranging from five to eleven students, in configurations of single, double, triple, and quadruple occupancy. Approximately two-thirds of the rooms are in the double-occupancy configuration. Each room is furnished with adjustable twin beds, two-drawer stackable dressers, wardrobe cabinets, a microwave, and a refrigerator. Additionally, each room is equipped with a private bathroom, with larger units featuring two bathrooms.

Within the premises, there are expansive student-centered lounge spaces totaling 18,300 square feet. These areas encompass open library spaces, dining seating, unenclosed breakout areas, along with 858 square feet dedicated to private group study and workrooms. Exterior amenity spaces spanning 2,100 square feet are also part of the facility.

Location, location, location: Conveniently situated, 15 Beekman Street enjoys proximity to several subway lines, including the A, C, J, 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains at the Fulton Street station to the south, as well as the 4, 5, and 6 trains at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station to the north.
