NEW YORK, NY (July 2024) – The Wilf Family’s Skyline Developers announced that 18 West 55th Street, the highly-anticipated residential development, recently celebrated its official topping out, with the ground-up new construction building reaching 25 stories. Rising 292 feet, the 152,000-square-foot development will introduce 97 impeccably designed rental apartments, a robust suite of modern lifestyle amenities, and coveted ground-floor retail space to its prime Midtown Manhattan location just off Fifth Avenue. Construction at 18 West 55th Street began in April 2023, and the building is slated for delivery in 2025, with leasing set to launch early next year.

“We’re pleased to have reached this major construction milestone, which represents a significant step forward in bringing our vision for 18 West 55th Street to life,” said Orin Wilf, principal of Skyline Developers. “We’ve had a presence in Midtown for almost 30 years and have witnessed the evolution of Fifth Avenue and the surrounding area into what it is today and recognized the demand for this type of luxury rental product here that doesn’t currently exist. We look forward to introducing 18 West 55th Street to the neighborhood and commencing leasing in early 2025.”

Featuring architecture and interiors by the renowned Morris Adjmi Architects, the luxury development will become one of the most prominent rental towers in the area. In addition to delivering 97 high-end residences ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, the building will offer residents roughly 10,000 square feet of luxury amenities spread across several floors of the 25-story property. 18 West 55th Street also boasts 5,265 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Ideally located on West 55th Street just off Fifth Avenue in the heart of Midtown, 18 West 55th Street sits on the same block as the famed Peninsula New York Hotel, near globally recognized landmarks such as The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Central Park and Fifth Avenue’s luxury retail corridor.

18 West 55th Street builds upon Skyline Developers’ and the Wilf family’s great tradition of building that began in 1954. Founded in 1999 as the New York City affiliate of Garden Homes, Skyline Developers introduced the family’s decades-long expertise into the world’s largest real estate market. The company was among the first developers to bring luxury living to the Financial District. Today, Skyline Developers’ portfolio has grown to include an impressive roster of residential rental towers, acclaimed condominium projects, and premier office and retail locations throughout Manhattan.
