Rockefeller Group Kicks Off Construction of 1.1M SF Distribution Center in Carneys Point, NJ

Rockefeller Group has commenced construction on the Rockefeller Group Logistics Center in Carneys Point, New Jersey. This significant development will consist of two large buildings, Building A and Building B, with a combined area of 1,126,443 square feet. Building A will cover 596,443 square feet, while Building B will occupy 530,000 square feet.
Financing and Location
Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited, New York Branch, has provided $114.8 million in construction financing for the project. The logistics center is strategically situated on Forrest Lane and Route 40, offering convenient access to major highways such as I-295 and the New Jersey Turnpike.
Project Features and Specifications
The buildings are designed to meet modern logistics needs with features including 40-foot clear heights and 50’ x 54’ column spacing. The facility will also offer substantial parking, with 658 spaces for automobiles and 328 stalls for trailers. The project is slated for completion in early 2025.
Land Assembly and Leasing
The Rockefeller Group assembled the 141-acre site from 13 separate parcels acquired from 11 different sellers. Ryan Curran of Curran Commercial facilitated the purchase and assemblage process. The leasing of the logistics center is being managed by a CBRE team consisting of Drew Green, Thomas F. Monahan, Larry Schiffenhaus, and Brian Golden.
