Key Points

  • $14M site purchase from the Village of Wellington for a 45-acre nonprofit PreK–12 school, aiming to open in August 2028, with high school set to launch in 2029.

  • 1,700-student capacity, focused on STEAM, arts, athletics, and whole-child development in a purpose-built, sustainable campus.

  • Adjacent mixed-use development to include 600 residential units, a 150-room hotel, 250K SF retail, and 82K SF restaurant space, signaling broader regional growth potential.

Billionaire developer and Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, through his venture Related Ross, is co-developing Wingrove Academy, a new nonprofit private PreK–12 school in Wellington, bridging education innovation with real estate development.

Partnership & Vision

  • ElevateED, led by global education leader Karen Yung, is developing Wingrove Academy, bringing international experience from schools in London, Singapore, and Bali.

  • Stephen Ross and Related Ross acquired the eastern parcel of K‑Park for residential and commercial use (~$28M), while ElevateED paid at least $14M for the western half for the school.

Campus & Design

  • The 45-acre campus at 10040 Stribling Way, Wellington, will debut with PreK–8 in August 2028 and its inaugural high school class in August 2029.

  • Designed by acclaimed David Manfredi of Elkus Manfredi Architects, known for MIT, Harvard, and BU campus projects.

  • Curriculum blends STEAM, visual & performing arts, championship-level athletics, holistic development, and personalized learning in a sustainable, forward-focused environment.

Strategic Real Estate Context

  • Adjacent to the school, Related Ross plans a mixed-use project: 600 housing units, a 150‑key hotel, a 250K SF retail center, and 82K SF of restaurants.

  • The school enhances Wellington’s appeal for families and businesses, addressing South Florida’s private-school capacity constraints and supporting broader community growth.

Wingrove Academy is more than a school—it’s a strategic anchor in a mixed-use development that reinforces Related Ross’s vision for inclusive community growth in Palm Beach County. For landlords, developers, and CRE brokers, it signals a now-vibrant educational real estate niche where well-designed learning environments directly boost residential and commercial market values. Expect increased investor interest in areas with these integrated educational and mixed-use opportunities.
