Prime Group’s 28-story Hotel Nears Final Phase in Streeterville

The Prime Group's 28-story hotel at 150 E Ontario Street in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood is nearing completion. The hotel is scheduled to open in Q1 2024 and will be part of the RIU Hotels and Resorts portfolio.

The premises: The hotel will have 388 guest rooms and suites, as well as an expansive lobby and a café. The lobby will be located on the first floor, and the café will be located on the southeast corner of the building.

The aesthetic: The hotel is designed by Lucien LaGrange Studio and has a contemporary yet classically-inspired aesthetic. The building features a white masonry facade with terraced setbacks, a bifurcated crown, and evenly spaced columns. The general contractor for the project is W.E. O'Neil Construction Company.

The whereabouts: The hotel is strategically located less than a block from Michigan Avenue, which provides easy access to various public transportation options. Bus stops servicing Routes 2, 3, and 10 are located within a block's distance, and the CTA Red Line is accessible by walking eight minutes southwest to Grand station. The hotel is sure to be a popular destination for both business and leisure travelers.
