An initial application has been formally submitted to Miami-Dade urban planners for a brand-new, 464-unit Brickell tower.

What we know about the project: The venture is provisionally named Calle 8, and the developer is listed as Millennium Developments of Brickell, LLC. Currently, a portion of the property is presently in use as a gas station.

In line with the application, Calle 8 is expected to feature 57 stories, reaching a height of 685 feet above ground level and 699 feet above sea level. According to the submitted paperwork, the development will feature the following elements:

  • 464 residential units: 252 studios, 37 one-bedrooms, 167 two-bedrooms, 7 three-bedrooms, and 1 penthouse.

  • Two potential alternatives for the lower levels: a versatile multi-level Concert Hall or a multi-story retail complex able to fit a department store or a similar retail vendor.

  • Eleven levels of parking with 467 spaces.

  •  A co-working space on level 12.

  • Amenities on levels 33, 35, 36, and 37, with the pool deck designated for level 35.
