What The New PopStroke Will Bring to International Drive
PopStroke is preparing to open what it describes as its most elaborate venue yet on Orlando's International Drive, adding another major entertainment attraction to one of Central Florida's busiest tourism corridors. The new venue at 8554 International Drive represents a roughly $9.5 million investment and is planned across approximately five acres. PopStroke's official locations page now lists the International Drive venue among its Florida locations, although it remains under development. The project is expected to open in December 2026, adding a large outdoor putting and dining destination to the I-Drive corridor, where billions of dollars in tourism-related development are planned or underway.
What Makes The Flagship Different
The centerpiece will be two custom 18-hole putting courses, continuing the format used at PopStroke's existing venues while adding considerably more elaborate landscaping and water features. A river system will run through the property, with waterfalls reaching as high as 13 feet. The most unusual feature will be a cave where guests can putt alongside a tank containing live sharks and stingrays. The courses are also designed with guest comfort and technology in mind. Planned features include shade trees, cooling misters, fans, digital scoring and cameras that can capture hole-in-one moments.
What The Dining And Entertainment Space Includes
PopStroke's model combines putting with food, drinks and social activities rather than operating as a traditional miniature golf course. The International Drive venue is expected to include a two-story building with indoor and outdoor dining, multiple bars, event spaces, a rooftop area and a beer garden. The project is also planned with family-oriented entertainment, building on amenities offered at PopStroke's other locations. That combination is part of what has allowed PopStroke to position itself as a golf entertainment and hospitality brand rather than simply a mini-golf operator. Its existing locations offer full-service restaurants, outdoor courses, playgrounds and other activities.
What Tiger Woods Brings to PopStroke
Tiger Woods is one of PopStroke's most recognizable backers and has been involved in the brand's course design and development strategy. PopStroke is also backed by TaylorMade Golf Company, which joined Woods and founder Greg Bartoli in the ownership group. TaylorMade's investment valued PopStroke at approximately $650 million when the partnership was announced. The partnership gives the Orlando project a strong connection to the broader golf industry while PopStroke continues expanding beyond traditional golf facilities.
What The Expansion Means for Orlando
The International Drive project adds another entertainment-focused destination to a tourism corridor that is already undergoing substantial development. The I-Drive District says more than $5.5 billion in high-profile development is planned in the area for 2026 and beyond. PopStroke is joining a corridor that includes new hotels, restaurants, residential projects, entertainment venues and other visitor attractions. For PopStroke, the new location also expands its presence in the Orlando market. The company already operates a venue at Waterford Lakes and opened a second Orlando-area location in Winter Garden in 2025. The International Drive venue will put the brand directly in the middle of one of the region's largest concentrations of tourists.
What Comes Next for the International Drive Venue
PopStroke is targeting a December 2026 opening, with construction and build-out continuing ahead of the launch. The combination of two 18-hole courses, large-scale water features, live marine life, dining and event space is designed to make the International Drive property a destination in its own right. For Orlando's commercial real estate and tourism markets, the project is another example of how International Drive continues to attract experience-driven concepts that combine entertainment, dining and leisure into a single destination.
