The project is proposed for 25 Northeast 28th Street, where a small two-bedroom house built in 1927 currently sits. The roughly 700-square-foot home has been approved for demolition to make way for the new development. For Pitbull, the location carries personal significance because he spent part of his childhood at the property before rising to international fame.

The building is being developed by Brickell-based Rilea Group, with architecture by Deforma Studio. Wynwood’s zoning allows five stories by right, but developers can add three additional floors through a bonus program. To qualify, the development team plans to make a cash contribution to the Wynwood public trust fund.

Developer Rilea Group is also active on the same Wynwood block with multiple projects. Next door to the planned headquarters, the firm is developing The Mohawk at Wynwood, a mixed-use project with loft-style apartments, with construction expected to begin soon. Rilea is also a partner on Rider Residences, a 12-story, 146-unit luxury condominium project currently under construction nearby.
