Expansion of Lilly's Presence in Boston
The new center represents an expansion of Lilly's already significant presence in the Boston area. According to Daniel Skovronsky, Lilly's chief scientific officer and president of both Lilly Research Laboratories and Lilly Immunology, the company is deeply invested in being a supportive part of the Boston innovation community. The LSC will foster collaborations with leading institutions and emerging talent, all aimed at developing transformative medicines for those in need.
Introduction of Lilly Gateway Labs and Tevard Biosciences
A notable feature of the LSC is the inclusion of the first East Coast location of Lilly Gateway Labs (LGL), which will now host Tevard Biosciences as its newest member. Tevard Biosciences, originally based in Cambridge, MA, has been selected to relocate its corporate headquarters to the LGL due to its innovative tRNA platform technologies. The company's promising research in neurological disorders, cardiology, and muscular dystrophies made it an ideal fit for this cutting-edge research community.
