La Grande Boucherie, a renowned French restaurant from New York City, is making its first foray into South Florida with a new location in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood at 81 Washington Ave. Known for its blend of indulgent steakhouse offerings and Parisian brasserie charm, this concept is from Emil Stefkov The Group Hospitality. Originally launched in Manhattan in 2020, the brand has expanded to include multiple locations in New York, as well as Chicago and Washington.
The South of Fifth neighborhood is known for its high-end residential offerings, such as Bruce Eichner's Continuum South Beach, alongside being the locale for numerous top restaraunts including Major Food Group's Carbone, Groot Hospitality's Papi Steak, Call Me Gaby and more.

A Landmark Setting with Art Deco Style
Occupying a spacious two-story building with a garden courtyard, La Grande Boucherie offers 366 seats for diners to enjoy its Paris-inspired ambiance. The Art Deco-style structure, formerly home to Au Pied du Cochon and later La Gloutonnerie, features distinct design elements on each floor. The first-floor dining area embraces a brasserie aesthetic with subway tiles, mosaic floors, and a classic brass-accented bar, evoking the Golden Age of Paris. In contrast, the second floor exudes elegance, with darker tones, plush red chairs, and rich wallpaper creating an intimate atmosphere.

French Classics with a Modern Twist
Helmed by Executive Chef Leonardo Pablo, who brings experience from W South Beach and Esme Hotel, the menu at La Grande Boucherie celebrates traditional French cuisine with a contemporary flair. Diners can expect a meat-forward selection that includes favorites like filet mignon au poivre, ribeye, steak frites, rack of lamb, and Chateaubriand. French classics such as coq au vin, duck confit, boeuf Bourguignon, escargot, and French onion soup round out the offerings.
Coastal Offerings Just for Miami
For its Miami Beach debut, La Grande Boucherie introduces an exclusive seafood menu, marking a first for the brand. Highlights include grilled branzino, red snapper, stone crab, Maine lobster, and Mediterranean octopus, alongside a raw bar featuring oysters, smoked King crab, and other delicacies. This addition aligns with Miami’s coastal dining culture, offering guests a distinctive experience that blends French sophistication with the Magic City’s vibrant culinary scene. The restaurant will be welcoming diners on January 31.
