North Shore Residential Proposes 46-unit Mixed-use Development in Lexington, MA

North Shore Residential Development has unveiled plans for a new 5-story mixed-use project in East Lexington, located along the northside of Massachusetts Avenue. The development is set to transform four existing parcels between 217-241 Massachusetts Avenue, which currently host a variety of residential and commercial properties, including a small office, multifamily homes, a contractor’s yard, and a bakery/coffee shop.

Mixed-Use Project Features

The proposed building will feature 46 residential units, complemented by approximately 5,000 square feet of commercial and retail space on the ground level. This commercial area aims to enhance the local community by offering a dynamic space that integrates with the surrounding neighborhood.

Outdoor Gathering Spaces

Two distinct exterior gathering spaces are part of the design, aimed at fostering community interaction. One space will be situated along Massachusetts Avenue, encouraging public engagement with the sidewalk. The second gathering area will be located in the left setback of the property, creating a lively connection to the nearby bikeway, making it a hub for both residents and visitors.
