B&B Theatres, the fifth-largest theatre chain in the U.S., is launching a new cinema and entertainment venue at the American Dream mega-mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This venue will be home to the world’s largest ScreenX auditorium.
ScreenX, developed by CJ 4DPLEX, is a unique multi-projection cinema technology that extends the movie screen onto the surrounding walls, creating a 270-degree panoramic viewing experience. The ScreenX at American Dream will feature an impressive 80-foot-wide center screen and side walls measuring 82 feet each, providing a total of 242 feet of viewing space.
Beyond the ScreenX auditorium, the B&B Theatres location will offer eight screens equipped with cutting-edge cinematic technology, including heated, leather electric recliners. The venue will also feature multiple bowling lanes, a full redemption arcade, and diverse food and beverage options such as a restaurant and a full-service bar.
The addition of B&B Theatres will enhance American Dream’s array of entertainment offerings. Recently, the mall introduced The Gameroom Powered by Hasbro, a 41,500-square-foot entertainment center with arcade games, attractions, retail, and dining options. On July 19, American Dream will also host the Arena Football League’s 33rd ArenaBowl Championship at The Rink.
Bryan Gaus, senior VP and general manager of American Dream, expressed excitement about the new B&B Theatres location, emphasizing the venue’s contribution to the mall’s diverse entertainment options. Brock Bagby, president and chief content officer for B&B Theatres, highlighted the company's commitment to providing immersive entertainment experiences and noted the success of their presence at the Mall of America.
Developed by Triple Five Group, American Dream spans over 3 million square feet and offers a vast selection of retail, dining, and entertainment options, positioning itself as a premier destination for visitors seeking a comprehensive entertainment experience.
