Planet Playskool, a Hasbro-branded entertainment center, is set to open next week at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus. This 20,000-square-foot venue is designed for children aged 3 to 9 and their caregivers, and it promises a variety of engaging activities.
The center features six interactive areas: Mousetrap, a life-size version of the game where kids can crawl, climb, and slide; Play-Doh Imagination Station, a creative space for children to mold and shape their ideas; Transformer’s Autobot Ark, an adventurous quest to save the universe; PJ Masks Hero City, an interactive experience to help save the day; Tinkertoy Town, a place to design and build various contraptions; and Spirograph Art Studio, a digital art studio for creating masterpieces.
Matt Proulx, Hasbro’s senior vice president of global experiences, partnerships, and music, emphasized the company's commitment to creating magical, immersive play experiences. Planet Playskool aims to enhance children’s imagination and critical thinking through STEAM-based activities, ensuring that they stay active while having fun.
The opening of Planet Playskool marks a significant collaboration between Hasbro, Kingsmen Xperience (a subsidiary of Kingsmen Creative), and Bright Play. This initiative follows an announcement made two years ago about the launch of Planet Playskool and the Nerf Action Xperience at the Bergen County mall.
Corey Redmond, senior executive vice president of Kingsmen Xperience, expressed excitement about debuting Planet Playskool at one of the most popular malls in the country. The team behind the project hopes families will enjoy and engage with the center for years to come.
In addition to Planet Playskool, a 25,000-square-foot Nerf Action Xperience will open this summer. This venue is aimed at older kids, young adults, and is suitable for team-building activities, corporate events, and parties.
General admission to Planet Playskool starts at $30, with discounts for seniors and military members at $25, and free entry for kids under 2. Annual passes are available for $99, and tickets can be purchased online. The entertainment center is located on level one of the mall, next to Neiman Marcus.
