New renderings have been released for 9 Chapel, a 14-story condominium building in Downtown Brooklyn. The building, developed by Tankhouse Development and designed by Kane Architecture and Urban Design and SO-IL, will have 27 units with an average size of 1,340 square feet.
What to expect: Each home will have at least two sky exposures and oversized floor-to-ceiling windows. Interior finishes will include exposed architectural concrete elements and custom butcher block-topped kitchen islands. Outdoor spaces will include open-air terraces and covered and uncovered private terraces.
Residential amenities will include a fitness studio with floor-to-ceiling windows, shared lounge spaces, and dedicated bike storage. Units will come in one- to four-bedroom layouts, starting at $1 million.
The design: The façade will be made of undulating perforated metal cladding, and the ground level will have lush landscaping.
Location, location, location: The building is located at 9 Chapel Street, which is also known as 219 Jay Street. It is close to the A and C trains at the High Street station, the F train at the York Street station, and the 2 and 3 trains at the Clark Street station. 9 Chapel is expected to be completed in 2024.
