Construction is set to begin on a 5-story mixed-use condominium building at 303 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The project in numbers: The existing 1-story commercial property will be expanded to span 22,874 square feet and yield 22 residential units with an average scope of 1,004 square feet, as well as 6,074 square feet of commercial space, 395 square feet of community facility space, and a cellar level. The general contractor for the project is B Contractors Group LLC.
The new look: The new building will be designed by ND Architecture & Design PC and will feature a white façade with pocketed terraces lined with metal railings. The first two levels will retain the brick envelope of the existing structure. A setback at the fifth story will be topped with a landscaped terrace overlooking South 2nd Street. New tree-lined sidewalks will surround the southern and western elevations upon completion.
Location, location, location: The site is located at the corner of Wythe Avenue and South 2nd Street, within walking distance of the L train at the Bedford Avenue station. The East River and Domino Park waterfront esplanade are also a short walk to the west along River Street.
