Designed by Lahmon Architects, "The Crescent" will feature a front façade with pleated sections that lightly touch the ground, creating a feeling of lift and revealing a warm wood underside that welcomes visitors and residents to an inviting ground floor. The building will also include a new publicly accessible entrance to a future segment of the Los Angeles River bike path. Residents can take advantage of the great Southern California weather with tiered balconies and roof decks to the north, providing ample outdoor space.
Beyond "The Crescent," Goldrich Kest has plans for new housing next to the historic Hotel Green in Pasadena, intending to recreate plans for a property at 86 S. Fair Oaks Avenue dating back to the early 20th century. Known for its developments in Marina del Rey, Goldrich Kest continues to shape Riverside living with its latest Studio City project.
Goldrich Kest utilized density bonus incentives to allow for a larger structure with more housing than the site's zoning rules would typically permit. The developer changed directions in early 2021, submitting plans for the current site after obtaining entitlements for a smaller 106-unit development with commercial space in early 2020.
Goldrich Kest's "The Crescent," a proposed multifamily residential development in Studio City, has received approval from the Los Angeles City Planning Commission. The six-story building at 4260 N. Arch Drive will offer 129 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments above a two-level, 145-car underground parking garage, with 17 units designated as deed-restricted affordable housing at the very low-income level.
In addition to the housing, "The Crescent" will offer amenities such as a pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen, a club room, roof decks, a media room, and a business center.
