Key Points
68 stories, 737 feet tall: Revised design makes Calle 8 one of Brickell’s taller residential towers.
500 residential units + retail: New plan removes a 70,000 sq. ft. music venue to prioritize luxury residences and ground-floor retail.
Transit-oriented boost: Located in Miami-Dade’s Rapid Transit Zone, benefiting from density bonuses and faster approvals.
Millennium Developments of Brickell, an affiliate of G&G Business Developments (developer of the Aston Martin Residences), has submitted a redesigned plan for Calle 8, a 68-story mixed-use tower at 190 SW 8th Street in Miami’s Brickell district.
The updated design leans fully into residential use, shedding the previously proposed music venue in favor of more housing, better pedestrian flow, and enhanced urban integration.

A Leaner, Lighter Design
Developers aim to create a more open, pedestrian-friendly experience along SW 8th Street and SW 2nd Avenue, aligning with the city’s focus on walkability and mixed-use density.
Program and Amenities
The tower’s redesign reinforces transit-oriented living, appealing to professionals drawn to Brickell’s expanding Metromover corridor.
Strategic Location
This subzone expansion—approved in 2022—has become a hotbed for vertical mixed-use projects, signaling continued investor confidence in Miami’s urban core.
The Takeaway
Calle 8’s latest iteration positions Millennium Developments to capitalize on Brickell’s residential and transit-led growth. By trimming bulk, emphasizing glass and light, and aligning with RTZ incentives, the project fits the next wave of Miami’s vertical urban evolution
