Michelle Pfeiffer and her husband, television producer David E. Kelley, continue to make waves in the Los Angeles real estate scene. The Hollywood power couple, known for their penchant for the upscale Westside of Los Angeles, recently acquired a sophisticated estate on the Palisades Riviera for a cool $10.6 million. This move adds to their track record of high-stakes property transactions in the area, including the notable sale of a Pacific Palisades mansion two years ago for $25 million.
A Prime Location and Celebrity Neighbors
Situated in a coveted pocket of the Pacific Palisades Riviera, their new 7,600-square-foot mansion shares its neighborhood with notable figures like Bill Cosby, Steven Spielberg, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Dan Castellaneta. The Mediterranean-inspired estate, built in 1993, boasts a rich history, having last changed hands in 1995 when it was acquired by legendary winemaker Al Scheid. The property, perched on a flat 0.38-acre lot, features a double-gated front motorcourt, flanked by towering trees.
The Beige Castle with '90s Charm
Pfeiffer and Kelley displayed their eagerness to secure this luxurious abode by paying $130,000 above the initial asking price. The mansion, a throwback to '90s elegance, unfolds with a grand formal entryway, complete with arched double front doors and a sweeping staircase. Throughout the house, the couple will enjoy stylish '90s decorative touches, including a family room with a granite-topped wet bar and a kitchen that opens into an informal secondary family room.
Luxurious Details and Outdoor Retreat
Upstairs, four out of the five bedrooms, all adorned with wall-to-wall carpeting, offer comfort and style. The primary suite, a spacious retreat, features a fireplace, dual closets, a sitting area, and a private balcony overlooking the expansive grassy yard. Outside, a vine-draped loggia leads to an outdoor dining patio, while terracotta tile steps guide residents to a rectangular swimming pool surrounded by manicured hedgerows and palm trees.
Not the Only Palisades Property
Records show that Pfeiffer and Kelley are not new to the Pacific Palisades real estate game. In addition to their latest acquisition, they currently own another property in the neighborhood, a smaller, older house listed at $7.4 million. Purchased in late 2021 for $6.9 million, their diverse real estate portfolio reflects their ongoing interest in the Los Angeles property market.
