Miami Grand Prix Expands Paddock Club With Massive New Hospitality Addition
Traded Editorial
- Miami Grand Prix plans 115,000-square-foot Paddock Club expansion by 2027
- Expansion will bring total hospitality space to 305,000 square feet
- New structure strengthens Miami’s push as a premier Formula 1 destination
What The Expansion Means For The Miami Grand Prix
South Florida Motorsports is planning a major expansion of the Miami Grand Prix Paddock Club, adding a new 115,000-square-foot extension overlooking Turn 1 of the circuit. Once completed ahead of the 2027 race, the expanded venue will become one of the largest hospitality spaces in Formula 1.
What The New Design Includes
The three-story extension will stretch from the start-finish straight toward Turn 1, giving guests direct views of one of the most important sections of the track. The project will also include views of Turns 2 and 3, tiered seating areas, rooftop viewing spaces, and upgraded circulation designed to improve guest movement throughout race weekend. Total Paddock Club capacity will increase to approximately 9,200 guests across 305,000 square feet of hospitality space.
What The Project Adds Beyond Race Weekend
The expansion also creates a permanent home for Precision Drive Club, an exclusive automotive membership concept tied to the Miami International Autodrome. Facilities will include simulator labs, pit-lane access, meeting spaces, lounges, race control areas, and a permanent culinary program supported by hospitality partners. This shifts the venue from a temporary event space into a year-round luxury entertainment and lifestyle destination.
What The Design Team Signals
The project is being developed with HOK+ROSSETTI, a firm known for sports and entertainment architecture. The team has already worked extensively with South Florida Motorsports and Hard Rock Stadium on previous upgrades and venue projects throughout the campus.
What This Means For South Florida Real Estate And Hospitality
The continued investment around the Miami Grand Prix reflects the growing overlap between sports, entertainment, luxury hospitality, and real estate development. Large-scale hospitality infrastructure tied to major sporting events is increasingly being treated as long-term destination real estate rather than temporary event operations. For investors and developers, the project reinforces Miami’s position as a global entertainment hub capable of supporting high-end experiential assets year-round.
What This Means For Formula 1 In The U.S.
The expansion also highlights Formula 1’s continued growth in the American market. Following the race extension through 2041, Miami is doubling down on premium hospitality and experiential offerings as competition grows among U.S.-based Formula 1 events.
