Orlando is set to welcome a groundbreaking addition courtesy of the Meyers Group. Spearheaded by Stuart Meyers, the Miami-based firm aims to transform a 77-acre abandoned hotel site in Osceola County into a cutting-edge entertainment district named "The Ovation."

Location and Vision

Situated at the intersection of Interstate 4 and U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee, just minutes away from Disney World, the project promises to revitalize the region's tourism corridor. The endeavor aligns with Osceola County's W192 Plan, designed to breathe new life into the area from the Osceola-Polk County line to Hoagland Boulevard through the creation of multiple subdistricts.

Ambitious Features

"The Ovation" boasts an impressive lineup of amenities, including three luxury hotels with a total of 675 rooms, two parking garages accommodating 4,200 vehicles, and a sprawling 700,000 square feet of restaurants, retail spaces, and entertainment venues. Notably, the district will feature a towering 175-foot Ferris wheel, adding a unique attraction to the landscape.

Project Evolution

Following feedback from officials, the Meyers Group adjusted its original proposal, scrapping plans for 1,150 multifamily units in favor of exclusively hotel accommodations. Updated renderings reveal a central promenade flanked by two rows of buildings, adorned with lush landscaping, event lawns, and shaded pavilions. The development's centerpiece will be a 350-room full-service hotel, promising a luxurious four-star experience.

Upscale Experience

While targeting a family-friendly atmosphere, "The Ovation" intends to cater to a more mature audience with its tenant mix. The district will showcase upscale dining establishments and trendy entertainment venues, aiming to offer a sophisticated experience for visitors.

Community Impact

County officials have embraced "The Ovation" as a catalyst for revitalization, endorsing its potential to transform the region's landscape. Their support underscores the project's significance in rejuvenating Osceola County's tourism district.

In summary, the Meyers Group's ambitious endeavor, "The Ovation," seeks to redefine Orlando's entertainment landscape with its innovative features and upscale offerings. Positioned as a beacon of revitalization, the project holds promise for transforming Osceola County's tourism corridor into a vibrant destination for visitors and locals alike.
