New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor has signed a contract for a $20 million penthouse in EJS Group’s luxury condominium at 200 East 75th Street in Manhattan's Upper East Side. As initially reporter by the Wall Street Journal, although the specific unit wasn’t disclosed, the description aligns with the property listed as PH5, which spans 5,000 square feet and includes six bedrooms, expansive terraces, and 11-foot ceilings.

Building Highlights and Market Performance
EJS Group launched sales for the 18-story condominium, designed by Beyer Blinder Belle, in March, with Compass leading the marketing efforts through its top brokers Alexa Lambert, Susan Wires, and Marc Achilles. About half of the 36 units have already been sold, with construction expected to conclude next year. The building’s planned amenities include an outdoor fireplace, a virtual sports room, and a movie theater.

Development History and Financial Backing
EJS Group acquired the land for $32 million in 2021 and has been navigating unique challenges, including a century-old walkup preserved through tenant protections and zoning laws. Early construction efforts were self-funded until Bank OZK provided $112 million in financing in 2022.

Lindor’s Baseball Journey and Financial Milestones
Lindor joined the Mets in 2021 after a successful tenure with the Cleveland Guardians. His 10-year, $341 million contract made him the highest-paid player in Mets history at the time. However, his record was surpassed by Juan Soto, who recently signed a $765 million contract with the Mets. Lindor, a Puerto Rican native, also owns a $2.9 million home in Orlando, Florida.

Representation and Closing Remarks
Douglas Elliman’s Dan Benichou represented Lindor in the deal. Although Lindor did not comment, this deal further cements his presence in New York City both on and off the field.
