Construction has reached its highest point at 262 Fifth Avenue, a 56-story residential skyscraper in NoMad, Manhattan. Designed by Meganom and executed by SLCE Architects, the tower is being developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development. The project, managed under Five Points 262 Project LLC, promises 26 luxury condominium units, averaging 3,200 square feet each, with one unit being a quadruplex. Notable collaborators include GEA Consulting Engineers as the MEP engineer and CM & Associates Construction Management as the general contractor.

A New Giant Sets Foot in NYC: Meganom's Skyscraper Design Unveiled | ArchDaily

Structural Completion and Architectural Features

Recent images capture the topping out of the reinforced superstructure, marked ceremonially with the placement of an American flag. The final segment of the building, a rectangular frame, will enclose a private residential observatory, reaching the skyscraper's full height. A steel column framework for this feature is already in progress. Exterior work has commenced on the lower floors of the northern elevation, showcasing a facade blending floor-to-ceiling glass with intricate aluminum textures, accented by smooth aluminum strips. The eastern side, facing Fifth Avenue, will boast a smooth aluminum envelope and circular windows.

Facade Installation and Environmental Features

PG New York is currently engaged in installing the building's comprehensive envelope, incorporating a large aluminum and triple glass curtain wall system. The facade design integrates windows, aluminum panels, and solar photovoltaic panels, promising both aesthetic appeal and sustainable functionality.
