  • Michelin-trained chef Emmanouil Aslanoglou is opening Manoli in Coconut Grove.
  • The new 140-seat Greek restaurant will replace the former Sereia space at 3540 Main Highway.
  • The concept will focus on family-style Greek cuisine, craft cocktails, and Mediterranean-inspired hospitality.

What Manoli Will Bring to Coconut Grove

A new upscale Greek restaurant is preparing to debut in Coconut Grove this summer as chef Emmanouil “Manoli” Aslanoglou brings his Mediterranean-inspired concept to Miami. The restaurant, called Manoli, will open at 3540 Main Highway in the former home of Sereia, the modern Portuguese restaurant that closed in 2025 after a short run despite receiving Michelin Guide recognition. Emmanouil Aslanoglou developed the concept around traditional Greek hospitality and family-style dining inspired by his upbringing in Greece. The 140-seat restaurant will include indoor dining, outdoor seating, and a dedicated bar area featuring coastal-inspired interiors with soft blue tones, sculpted wall niches, and light wood finishes.

What the Chef’s Background Brings to the Concept

Aslanoglou trained in Michelin-starred kitchens, including Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in England and Arzak in Spain, before leading the historic Vassilenas restaurant in Athens.
He has also appeared on MasterChef Greece and most recently worked at Nammos in Southampton.
“Manoli is deeply personal to me,” Aslanoglou said. “It reflects the way I grew up eating in Greece, food made with care and meant to be shared.” The restaurant’s menu is expected to combine traditional Greek dishes with modern presentations and select American influences.

What Diners Can Expect From the Menu

Menu offerings will include small plates such as dolmades, saganaki, crispy feta wrapped in phyllo, Mediterranean mussels, and gyro tacos made with Black Angus ribeye. The restaurant will also feature a raw bar with tuna tartare, oysters, and beef tartare alongside housemade pastas, including pastitsio and makarounes. Larger entrees will include Greek-style lamb chops, prime beef, and whole branzino. Desserts will reportedly be presented through a rolling dessert cart featuring baklava, profiteroles, Greek doughnuts, yogurt preserves, and chocolate cake.

What the Cocktail Program Includes

The beverage program, called “Sober Souls Diaries,” is being developed by Fotis Mexi and draws inspiration from Greek mythology and classical literature. Cocktails will incorporate ingredients such as saffron, kumquat, basil, mastiha, and lavender, while the wine program will focus heavily on Greek producers.

What This Means for Coconut Grove’s Dining Scene

Manoli joins a growing collection of upscale dining concepts, continuing to reshape Coconut Grove into one of Miami’s strongest restaurant destinations. The restaurant will open near established concepts including Taurus and Michelin-starred Ariete, reinforcing the area’s growing reputation for chef-driven and internationally influenced dining experiences. As Miami’s hospitality market continues expanding, developers and restaurateurs are increasingly investing in experiential dining concepts centered around design, storytelling, and elevated cultural cuisine.
