A new senior housing project proposed by GLB Properties has recently been green lit. The City of Long Beach Planning Commission granted preliminary approval for the 160-unit project with seniors in mind.
The project’s distribution: If everything goes according to plan, the project will feature six stories with a mix of studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedroom units. It is expected that 20 apartments will be classified as affordable housing.
The facility will have 58 studios, 82 one-bedrooms and 20 two-bedrooms, and it will be equipped with 74 car parking spots, in addition to room for 23 bikes.
Location, location, location: The location for this senior housing project is at 2515 Avenue, situated in North Long Beach on vacant, city-owned parcels near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and East Vernon Street, south of Willow Street.
