The Los Angeles Clippers are set to open their new home, the Intuit Dome, in Inglewood next month. This $2 billion arena aims to blend sports with culture, offering fans an immersive artistic experience alongside their traditional game-day fare.

A Showcase of Local Art
The Intuit Dome will feature $11 million worth of artwork created by seven artists with strong connections to Los Angeles. The collection includes a range of art forms, from large-scale murals to digital installations. Each piece is designed to celebrate the local Inglewood community, with an additional 40-plus pieces worth around $3 million complementing the main installations.
Curating the Collection
Gillian Zucker, CEO of Halo Sports & Entertainment, emphasized the goal of making the art accessible and engaging for all visitors. The Clippers enlisted art consultant Ruth Berson, who led a team of curators, art historians, and community members to select the artists. The chosen artists, including Refik Anadol, Glenn Kaino, Patrick Martinez, Michael Massenburg, Kyungmi Shin, Jennifer Steinkamp, and Charles Gaines, collaborated to create site-specific artworks.
Highlights of the Artwork
The main entrance features Kaino’s massive sculpture "Sails," depicting a clipper ship. Anadol’s A.I.-driven piece "Living Arena" captivates with its LED display, while Shin’s stained glass mosaic "Spring to Life" and Martinez’s neon installation "Same Boat" adorn the interior walls. Outside, Steinkamp’s "Swoosh" transforms the dome’s exterior at night with vibrant animations, and Massenburg’s mural "Cultural Playground" attracts pedestrians and motorists alike.

Additional Artistic Contributions
In addition to the main artworks, Walter J. Hood designed the landscape, Glen Luchford created player portraits, and Jonas Wood designed the team’s uniforms and court. These contributions enhance the overall aesthetic and cultural experience of the Intuit Dome.
Grand Opening Event
The Intuit Dome will officially open on August 15 with a concert by Bruno Mars, inviting the public to experience the unique blend of sports and art firsthand.
