JLL has successfully negotiated a lease for Krispy Kreme to open a 4,000-square-foot factory store at the Town & Country Shopping Center in Lakewood, New Jersey. This new establishment signifies Krispy Kreme’s return to Ocean County after nearly two decades.
Store Features and Opening Date
Scheduled to open in Fall 2024, the new Krispy Kreme store will include unique features such as a “glaze waterfall” and a conveyor belt to produce fresh doughnuts on-site. Additionally, the store will have a drive-through window for customer convenience.
Expansion in New Jersey
The new Lakewood location is part of a broader expansion by Krispy Kreme’s franchise group in New Jersey, which also includes stores in Paramus, Springfield, East Rutherford, and Jersey City.
Representation and Shopping Center Details
JLL’s David Townes and Alana Friedman represented Krispy Kreme in the leasing process, while R.J. Brunelli & Co. acted on behalf of Steiner Equities, the landlord. The Town & Country Shopping Center, built in 1991 and encompassing 443,600 square feet, is anchored by major retailers such as Home Depot and Value City Furniture.
