Long before Johnny Depp's connection to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, he shared an enchanting West Village carriage house with supermodel Kate Moss in the 1990s.

Sale of the Property

The picturesque compound, comprised of a 19th-century Federal-style brick townhouse at 112 Waverly Place and an adjacent carriage house, recently sold for $12 million, down from its initial listing price of $15.5 million.

Property Description

The 22-foot-wide townhouse, originally constructed in 1826 and later updated with a brick facade, has been divided into four rentals. Notable past tenants include actors James Spader and Fisher Stevens, painter Everett Shinn, and playwright Lorraine Hansberry.

Famous Occupants

Kate Moss resided in the carriage house during her relationship with Johnny Depp from 1994 to 1998.

Legal Support and Online Reaction

Moss supported Depp during his defamation case against Amber Heard, as did a purported group of Saudi bots and trolls, revealed in an analysis of a million tweets from the podcast "Who Trolled Amber?"

Property Features

The townhouse rentals boast original details such as hardwood floors, mahogany moldings, exposed brick, and high ceilings. One unit is a garden-level duplex with a private outdoor terrace, while another offers a rooftop deck with city skyline views.

The Carriage House Triplex

The 1,800-square-foot carriage house triplex, formerly known as the Little Theater, features striking 17-foot-high beamed ceilings, a woodburning fireplace, and an outdoor terrace.

Listing Details

The property was represented by Randy Baruh of Compass and Meris and Kenny Blumstein of Corcoran.
