After a year and a half of anticipation, the final stages of construction for Kanvas LA, a mixed-use apartment complex in Koreatown, are underway. This innovative development, situated at the crossroads of James M. Wood Boulevard and Vermont Avenue, is set to redefine urban living in the heart of Los Angeles.
The brainchild of EGC Real Estate Group, Kanvas LA is located at 905 S. Vermont Avenue. This seven-story structure will house 67 apartments, ground-floor commercial space, and a subterranean parking garage. With its strategic location and modern design, Kanvas LA is poised to become a landmark in Koreatown.
Prospective tenants can choose from a variety of floor plans, including studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. The sizes range from a cozy 372 square feet to a spacious 1,207 square feet. Rental prices start at $1,800 per month, reaching up to $4,250 for the larger units.
Kanvas LA has been granted Transit Oriented Communities incentives, allowing for a larger structure than typically permitted by zoning regulations. This is due to the property's proximity to high-frequency bus lines. As part of this agreement, some units will be designated as affordable housing, making this development more accessible to a wider demographic.
The contemporary podium-type building, designed by 64North, is a testament to modern urban architecture. With its sleek design and strategic location, Kanvas LA is set to become a prominent feature in Koreatown's skyline.
EGC Real Estate Group is not stopping at Kanvas LA. They are also in the process of constructing an eight-story, 63-unit residential complex on a neighboring property to the west, further contributing to the transformation of Koreatown's real estate landscape.
