What the project includes
Construction is nearing completion on The Village West, a new residential condominium development located at 525 Sixth Avenue at the corner of West 14th Street. The building rises 145 feet and contains 68 condo units within roughly 123,000 square feet. The project was developed by Yoel Izaki’s Izaki Group and designed by BKSK Architects. Two retail spaces will occupy the ground floor, adding new storefronts along a busy stretch between the West Village and Chelsea.
What the design means for the building
The completed exterior highlights a distinctive brick façade with sculptural elements. The building features rounded corners, curved windows, and multiple protruding volumes, giving it a softer profile along Sixth Avenue. Upper levels step back into landscaped terraces, allowing outdoor space for residents while reducing the building’s visual bulk. Sections of green glazed brick add texture and contrast to the façade.
What the amenities mean for residents
The development includes a wide range of residential amenities designed to attract luxury condo buyers. Lower levels feature wellness-focused spaces including a yoga studio, hydrotherapy recovery room, infrared sauna, and steam room. Additional amenities include a fitness center, children’s playroom, co-working lounge, golf simulator, and billiards room. Outdoor spaces include two private courtyards and a rooftop lounge with dining areas and grilling stations.
What the location means for the project
The building sits directly near the 14th Street subway station, providing access to the F, M, and L trains. Its position along Sixth Avenue places it at the edge of both Chelsea and the West Village, two neighborhoods known for strong residential demand. Sales and marketing for the condominiums are being handled by CORE, which is overseeing listings and buyer outreach as the project prepares for full completion.
