A delightful treat is coming to Dowtown Jersey City, as Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has officially signed a lease to open their latest store in the area.

When to expect the new store’s arrival: The Historic Downtown Special Improvement District shared this exciting news through their Instagram, and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream’s website has already listed their future location at 347 Grove Street as “coming soon.”

While the exact opening date for the Grove Street outpost is yet to be announced, ice cream enthusiasts can eagerly anticipate its arrival. This store will mark the second Van Leeuwen location in New Jersey, following the first one inside the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford.

The value behind this brand: Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is driven by a simple yet profound mission: to create exceptional ice cream that not only tastes great, but also leaves you feeling good. Their ice cream flavors are distinctive and diverse, featuring options such as the enticing peanut butter brownie honeycomb or the tantalizing buttermilk berry cornbread.

The renowned brand, initially established in New York City as a food truck in 2008 by brothers Pete and Ben Van Leeuwen along with Laura O’Neil, is set to bring its delectable offerings to this vibrant neighborhood.

What sets them apart: One standout aspect of Van Leeuwen's offerings is their dedication to inclusivity. They are widely recognized for their extensive vegan selection, utilizing coconuts, cashews, and oats for the base of their vegan ice creams. The vegan flavors are just as enticing, ranging from the classic churros and fudge to the innovative brown sugar chunk.
