Gwyneth Paltrow Expands Goop Kitchen Into Manhattan

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Kitchen is preparing to open a new location on Manhattan’s Upper West Side as the wellness brand expands its restaurant footprint beyond California. Signage for the concept has appeared at 364 Amsterdam Avenue between West 77th and West 78th Streets, signaling another New York City outpost for the growing food brand. The storefront previously housed Vitamin Peddler, which relocated to 142 West 83rd Street in 2022. The restaurant will operate as a fast-casual concept focused on takeout and delivery, a format that continues to gain traction across dense residential neighborhoods in Manhattan.

What The Restaurant Concept Offers

Goop Kitchen is an extension of Paltrow’s Goop lifestyle company, which she founded in 2008 and has since grown into a broad wellness platform spanning beauty, fashion, health products, and food. The restaurant concept currently operates several locations across Los Angeles and the Bay Area, and the upcoming Upper West Side location will be part of the brand’s first wave of New York City openings. The menu follows the company’s “Certified Clean” standards, which avoid ingredients such as refined sugars, gluten, dairy, soy, corn, peanuts, seed oils, and preservatives. Dishes include salads, bowls, wraps, pasta, pizza, soups, and rotisserie chicken, along with desserts like dark chocolate sea salt brownies and maple pecan oatmeal cookies.

What The Expansion Means For Upper West Side Retail

The upcoming opening reflects continued demand for health-focused fast-casual dining concepts across Manhattan’s residential neighborhoods. Amsterdam Avenue remains one of the Upper West Side’s most active retail corridors, attracting food and lifestyle tenants that benefit from the area’s dense population and steady foot traffic. Goop Kitchen has already confirmed its first New York City location in Flatiron, expected to open this summer on East 20th Street, with additional locations planned across the city. An opening date for the Upper West Side restaurant has not yet been announced.
