Miami's Edgewater neighborhood is about to welcome a new and exceptional dining destination, Casadonna, the result of a unique partnership between Groot Hospitality and Tao Group Hospitality.

When and where: This ultra-luxurious, Ken Fulk-designed restaurant is set to open its doors on October 26, offering an unmatched experience in a stunning location overlooking Biscayne Bay.

What we know about the luxurious eatery: Spanning 20,000 square feet of indoor, outdoor, and bar seating, Casadonna brings together a sophisticated, storied atmosphere with an inventive menu rooted in coastal Italian cuisine. With a capacity to accommodate up to 366 patrons, the restaurant boasts a Riviera-style Italian cooking experience against the backdrop of the gentle teal waters of Biscayne Bay and the iconic skyline of Miami Beach.

What kind of menu to expect: The menu at Casadonna is a tribute to the freshest local and imported ingredients sourced from Italy. Signature dishes include the Crispy Young Artichoke, Royal Dorade Aqua Pazza, Bistecca Fiorentina, and a delightful selection of handmade pastas, such as Campanelle Bolognese

The culinary inspiration draws from classic techniques found in coastal towns like Naples, Taormina, Bari, Positano, and Gaeta, but with a contemporary and global twist. Guests can also indulge in a comprehensive crudo bar featuring delights like Langoustine Ceviche, Tuna Carpaccio, and Caviar, elevating the aperitivo experience. To complement the cuisine, a range of bespoke cocktails and an extensive wine cellar round out the offering, providing a true taste of the seaside dolce vita.

Location, location, location: Set within a historic waterfront building that once housed the Miami Women's Club, the name Casadonna reflects its surroundings. "Casa" and "donna" in Italian translate to "home" and "woman" in English. The Miami Women's Club, founded in 1900 and residing in the current Mediterranean-revival structure since 1926, has played a significant role in educational programs, community stewardship, and state-shaping policy and activism. It was instrumental in the founding of the State Federation Royal Palm Park, which eventually became part of the Everglades National Park.

Casadonna will open its doors for dinner on Thursday, October 26, and introduce weekend brunch starting on Saturday, November 11, 2023. With its unique blend of Italian cuisine, exquisite design, and breathtaking waterfront location, Casadonna promises to become a must-visit destination in Miami's vibrant culinary scene.
